EXTEND THE LIFESPAN OF YOUR DEC-K-ING SURFACE

The DEC-K-ING system consists of a PVC sheet membrane that is glued to a surface creating a 100% waterproof finish you can walk on. The membrane includes a slip-resistant embossing for greater traction in wet conditions. It is widely used on sundecks, balconies, walkways, restaurant patios and flat roofs to use as rooftop patios.     Pattern Layer

    STYLE

    The top layer showcases the range of colours and prints, from light to bold, to reflect your personality and style.

    SLIP RESISTANCE

    All vinyl membranes go through a process known as embossing. The result is a permanent textured surface that leads to enhanced traction, even when the membrane is wet.

    UV PROTECTION

    The sun can be extremely damaging to exterior building products. DEC-K-ING membranes are carefully manufactured with UV inhibitors. This ensures your vinyl deck won’t crack and disintegrate after long exposure to the sun’s harmful rays.

    100% WATERPROOF

    The top layer of vinyl averages 28-30 mils (Roofseal) of thickness and is the first line of defence against water migration. DEC-K-ING is manufactured with the highest quality resins, stabilizers and plasticizers resulting in a stable waterproofing membrane.

    Woven Layer

    ANTI-WICK

    The woven polyester mesh contains anti-wicking properties. If the vinyl is damaged water will not migrate into the membrane and instead is pushed to the outside.

    FLEXIBILITY

    As the seasons and temperature change, a plywood deck will expand and contract. The DEC-K-ING multi-directional polyester mesh allows the vinyl to expand upwards of 115% while maintaining its form and bond to the substrate.

    STRENGTH

    DEC-K-ING woven polyester mesh produces have a tensile strength of 278 lbs. This ensures your vinyl deck will never tear or be damaged due to rapidly changing temperatures and conditions.

    PVC Backing

    100% PVC BACKING

    The bottom layer of the DEC-K-ING membrane also averages 28-30 mils of thickness (Roofseal). This quality PVC bottom layer serves a very important role in the DEC-K-ING waterproofing system. Many of DEC-K-ING’S accessories including drip edge flashing, drains and scuppers are coated with vinyl made at the same factory. This allows the bottom layer to easily fuse to the accessories instead of having to rely on glues or caulking. See the V-Kote Tek section for more info.

Coated Flashing

DEC-K-ING deck edge flashing is made of galvanized metal ​and ​laminated to a PVC sheet. The vinyl coated flashing allows for a watertight termination of the vinyl to the edge of the deck by hot air fusion. Water flows off the deck and the 1/2″ kick drip on the bottom helps deflect water away from the house. Available in four colours to match or complement your home’s exterior.

Scupper & Overflow Image

Scuppers & Overflows

The one piece molded PVC scupper allows for DEC-K-ING vinyl to fuse directly to the scupper. A ​PVC downspout adapter is also available.

One piece PVC coated aluminum overflow ​with a two inch opening for easy fitting to a standard mechanical clamp. Deck membrane is easily fused to the ​PVC coated overflow for a reliable waterproof finish.

Drains

One piece spun aluminum drain outlet ​that has been ​PVC coated. Simplicity of design, the drains ​PVC coating provide a permanent 100% seal when heat welded to the ​PVC membrane. Four fastener rings allow for a tight fitting grate into the drain.

Two part V-Kote Tek waterproofing solution for deck railing post​s​. The factory made ​PVC cover fits over a high density poly ethylene block. This will elevate the rail base off the deck surface, eliminating water migrating under the baseplate and through the fasteners. Water will flow around the block and continue to the edge of deck.
